The Student Leadership & Service Awards were established to recognize outstanding graduating students for their leadership, service, involvement, and dedication to the student experience and community at USG.  The selected leadership & service winners will be celebrated at the Student Engagement Awards on Friday, May 10, 2024.  Nominations will be open on March 1 and are due on March 31, 2024.

Criteria

  • Outstanding leadership and service to the USG community via USG clubs or organizations, honors societies, TA'ing, peer advising, etc.
  • Positive contributions to student engagement at USG
  • The motivation of fellow students to a greater commitment to co-curricular activities and the student experience at USG
  • Demonstrating the career competencies of leadership, teamwork and collaboration

Eligibility
To be considered for this award, students must be graduating/have graduated between Fall 2023 and Summer 2024 and who are/have been enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate academic program offered at USG.

Selection
Staff, faculty, and students are asked to submit nominations for this award. Multiple nominations per person are allowed. Students may not self-nominate for this award. The final selection of award recipients will be made by a Student Affairs and Career Readiness Review Committee based on the strength of the applications and how well the student has met the award criteria. Two undergraduate and one graduate student will be selected.

Deadline
The deadline for submission of nominations for the 2023-2024 Student Leadership & Service Awards is March 31, 2024. Incomplete or late forms will not be considered.
