Our group fitness classes provide participants with a structured, results-focused regimen in a group setting. Each class invites participants of all fitness levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced. Participants can increase and/or decrease the intensity of the workout by utilizing the suggested modifications from our instructors. Various group exercise classes are held each month during the fall and spring semesters.

Classes are open to all USG Students, Staff, and Faculty Members. 

We have certified instructors to lead all classes; please join us in person.

Zumba: Every Wednesday: February 7- February 28 at 3 PM

Join USG’s Recreation and Well-being with a student instructor-led Zumba class! Work on your fitness while dancing to upbeat music. All are welcome!  

Walking Group: Every Thursday: February 15- March 7, at 1 PM

Join the USG Recreation Walking Group! Take a 30-40 minute break from your desk or studies to walk around campus with fellow students and staff. Boost your well-being and enjoy the benefits of fresh air and camaraderie. Lace up your shoes and step into a healthier lifestyle with us! Meet in the BLDG IV atrium! 

Yoga: Every Wednesday: March 6 - April 3 at 3 PM

Join USG’s Recreation and Well-being with a student instructor-led Yoga class! Connect your body, breath, and mind with posture, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve your health!

Bollywood Dance: Every Wednesday: April 10 - May 1 at 3 PM

Join USG’s Recreation and Well-being with a student instructor-led Bollywood class! Learn a new dancing form while working on your fitness!

What to expect when attending a class?

  • Our experienced instructors design and lead each class
  • All classes start promptly at their scheduled time
  • All fitness equipment is provided, though supplies are first-come, first-serve
  • Participants are asked to refrain from entering once the class begins for their safety and the courtesy of the instructor and other participants
  • Admittance is free for ALL Recreation & Well-being members

What to wear?
Comfortable workout clothing with tennis shoes that you will be able to maneuver during twisting motions!

What to bring?
Positive Energy,  water, and a gym towel
