Students may request consulting sessions for the following:
Informational Interviews – The purpose of this interview is for Career Consultant to share valuable insight into industry opportunities, industry trends, and general career advice with students. This interview also allows students to learn about their consultant’s background, professional roles, and experience in the sector.
Career Consulting – The Career Consultant will utilize their expertise to give the student career-related guidance regarding their designated industry of choice. Specific areas for advice may include industry-specific career pathways, industry trends, and internship or job search strategies.
Virtual Mock Interviews – Consultant and student will engage in virtual “practice” interviews to help students refine their interviewing skills.
Creating Connections – Engagement with a Career Consultant to assist a student in expanding professional networks through personal introductions with professionals in the designated industry, identification of professional organizations or affinity groups to join, or identification of networking events. Creating connections is a means to “open doors” that lead to opportunities for career exploration, internships, or even employment.
