A "Recall" of library materials is when a borrower's loan is shortened because it is needed elsewhere, and there are no other available copies
Depending on remainder of current loan period, a Recall may dramatically shorten your time with an item
Recalled items cannot be renewed, and accrue overdue fines at an accelerated rate
Any item can be recalled at any time
The library system sends out automated notices for Recalled items
All automatic communications from the system are sent as a courtesy. Failure to read the notice does not excuse late returns
Borrowers can always check the status of their loans using the My Account or My Library Card section of their home institution's library catalog search
