Career Coaching
Our Center provides in-person and virtual Career Coaching sessions on a daily basis for all students at USG. Session topics include HireU career readiness planning, career exploration, career planning, job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile reviews exploration of internship and experiential learning opportunities, graduate school planning, and more. Students may view available appointments and schedule a session by logging into our Center portal - the Career Connector.
"USG Connects": Career Consulting Program
The “USG Connects” Career Consulting Program is a program developed by USG’s Board of Advisors and is being offered in collaboration with USG's Center for Career Development. This consultation program is intended to leverage the professional experience, expertise, and network of USG’s Board members and other professionals in the community, as an avenue to provide meaningful career guidance and support for students participating in programs at USG. Students will have the opportunity to explore career paths, participate in informational interviews, learn about industry trends, gain valuable career advice, and expand their professional networks with the regional business community.

Students are encouraged to visit our Center during our Career Studio hours to have their professional headshot taken. Students will receive a digital file wither their headshot edited on various backgrounds.
Gallup Strengths 
The Center for Career Development offers individual Gallup Strengths Assessments and related Coaching to help students build upon their natural talents to thrive in school and work. Visit our “Career Connector” to complete your free assessment and sign up for your personalized Coaching session.

ON-DEMAND CAREER DEVELOPMENT CONTENT
USG’s Scholarships for Internships provide financial support for students enrolled in programs at USG who participate in meaningful, yet unpaid internship opportunities. Qualifying placement opportunities are made available to students during the fall and spring semesters, and include internships with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and small "startup" businesses in Montgomery County who provide “practical learning experience” for students.
