Originally launched as a video podcast in October 2020, This is USG has featured Dr. Anne Khademian, USG’s Executive Director, interviewing students, alumni, faculty, staff, business and community leaders, and other key voices connected to the Universities at Shady Grove (USG).

Starting in January 2025, This is USG transitioned to a traditional audio podcast format, expanding to feature rotating hosts from different divisions across USG. Each episode will dive into key topics that matter to the USG community, offering fresh perspectives and deeper insights. By bringing in a diverse range of voices, the podcast will highlight important initiatives, student experiences, career pathways, and the many ways USG supports education and workforce success.
