Peer-to-peer awards allow USG staff and contractual employees to be recognized for their outstanding contributions to USG, either for specific initiatives or for general excellence. Staff may be nominated as individuals or in small groups by fellow staff or supervisors, either within or outside their department. Anyone who is nominated, provided their nomination form is complete, will receive an award.

Who can nominate? USG staff and contractual employees.
Nomination requirements: A brief description acknowledging the accomplishment/task/project.
Who can be nominated: USG staff and contractual employees.
What the recipient receives: A certificate signed by the Executive Director and the Assistant Director, Office of Strategic Human Resources.
Who is notified? The employee’s immediate supervisor, their respective Executive Council member, and the nominator.
Frequency: Nominations are ongoing and will be reviewed on a rolling basis
USG Board of Advisors Kendall Service Awards
Given every spring by the USG Board of Advisors, there are three Kendall Awards: The Outstanding Service to Students, the Program Director of the Year, and the Excellence in Teaching Award. All three awards are announced at the Student Achievement and Leadership Breakfast. The awards are selected by the board and a nominating committee made up of previous winners, Board members, and students. Selections are made based on eligibility requirements set forth by the Board.
