Jessica Nardi, Director of Administration and Talent Management

Jessica Nardi earned her bachelor’s degree from Fordham University (Bronx, New York). Within two years of graduating, she’d earned her master’s degree in Literature from Fordham as well. While earning those degrees, she began working for the Comptroller of the Currency (Department of Treasury) in New York, New York and continued there for over six years. She relocated to Maryland and worked for a number of years as a tutor for the Treatment and Learning Center (Rockville, MD). Jessica joined the USG team in September of 2006 and became active in many areas of operations. As the Director for Administration she now oversees Human Resources, Space & Scheduling, Sustainability and partners with USG’s Facilities department on campus projects. In her free time, she volunteers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Bethesda, MD) and the Social Concerns and Outreach Committee (Rockville, MD, St. Raphael’s Catholic Church). She is graduate of Leadership Montgomery, class of 2016. She has four children and enjoys reading, yoga and running.

Neetha Thomas, Administrative Specialist

Neetha joined our Human Resources team in 2013 and she is happy to help our staff with payroll, benefits, and immigration, travel & timesheets inquiries. Neetha earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from University of Maryland University College. She is a team member of our Culture of Care Network & Thriving Workplace. Prior to joining our team, Neetha worked as a Benefits Assistant for a PEO Organization. She also worked as a HR intern for Montgomery College under Ms. Elaine Doong’s Mentorship.

Nitshu Joshi, Human Resources

Nitshu Joshi is a former student and former student employee of the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UMBC at USG, followed by a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. While earning her bachelor’s degree, she began working as a student employee at the Priddy Library and continued working there for more than two years providing circulation services to students and faculty members. During her master’s program, she began working as a graduate assistant for UMBC at USG assisting faculty and staff with various administrative projects. She was also a recipient of the Camille Kendall Academic Achievement Award in 2011 and served as the Guided Study Session Leader for an undergraduate Psychology course in 2010-2011 at USG. Upon completing her master’s, Nitshu worked as an HR Analyst for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield assisting with Affirmative Action. She has always considered the Universities at Shady Grove as her second home and is happy to assist all staff members with HR inquiries. During her free time, Nitshu enjoys dancing, traveling and lots of Chuck E Cheese visits with her son.
