Mission Statement
Tau Sigma is an academic honor society designed specifically to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.
Chapter Message
The Universities at Shady Grove chapter, known as the Theta Chi Chapter, is sponsored by Annie E. Foster Ahmed, and hosts their meetings in the John and Effie Macklin Center for Leadership and Communication.
Current members of Tau Sigma participate in USG events like volunteering on Mobile Market Mondays and welcome opportunities to help their fellow transfer students acclimate to the USG campus and engage with other USG students.
Eligibility Requirements
- Transfer Student: With at least one full year of academic credits satisfied at the prior institutio
- Earning a Bachelor's Degree: Having completed a full load (12-15 hours) or being approved by the National Headquarters
- GPA: Earning a superior grade point average of 3.5 GPA or higher at the time of the invitation
- Contact Your Program Director: Contact your program director to be nominated
