The Spring 2017 Student Spotlight video features students from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Josline Ali-Napo, Kimberly Cate, and Zeke Strober are students in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at USG. The University of Maryland School of Social Work is one of the nation’s largest and most respected schools of social work. The MSW program at USG, offers the Clinical Behavioral Health area of practice. Students in this specialization develop assessment and intervention skills to work with families, youth, and adults in mental health, health care, and substance abuse settings.
One of the distinctive components of the MSW program is the field placement experience where students practice and refine skills learned in class. The students featured in this video talk about their field work placement experiences and what they want to do in the social work field when they graduate.
