2/7/12

Did you know that each year thousands of students do not complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) simply because they do not think they qualify? Do not assume you are not eligible for financial aid and do not allow the process to confuse you! To help students maximize their free aid, the Office of Student Services presents 2012 Financial Aid Awareness Month

Attend workshops and events during the month of February to help understand your options for financial aid, how to obtain funds, and how to make the best choices when it comes to funding your education. In order to be considered for all possible Maryland state grants, the FAFSA must be submitted before March 1. So take advantage of these resources now!

Pick up information, including quick tips on financial aid and scholarships at the Financial Aid table near the entrance to the Green Grove Café. Students may also stop by the Office of Student Services anytime for assistance in filling out your FAFSA. Be sure to bring tax returns and your Federal Student Aid Pin.

Plus, when you attend any Financial Aid Awareness Month activities, you will be entered to win an Amazon Kindle! Download the full calendar of events (PDF).
