Welcome back, students! USG wants you to have all the information and resources you need to make the 2011 - 2012 academic year your best yet.

  • Access the Schedule of Classes to find the room, date and time, and instructor of any course.
  • Visit the Office of Student Services to learn more about leadership opportunities, clubs and organizations, and student life.
  • Contact the Center for Academic Success for information on guided study sessions, writing help, and other academic coaching.
  • The Career & Internship Services Center is ready to help you find the opportunity you are looking for – with tips for resume and cover letters, interview preparation, local job openings, and more.

Welcome Back Week Begins August 29th

Drop by the lobbies of all USG buildings during the week of August 29 – September 2. You will have the chance to meet and greet with USG representatives and enjoy some treats. There will be Informational resources available for all students. Some highlights include:

Money, Money, Money – Financial Aid Information       

M 8.29,  12pm-1pm

Money is out there and it’s not too late to apply for the 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Stop by the money table on your way to class and learn more about financial aid tips and how to apply.  Even if you don’t think you are qualified, you might be surprised!

Student Organizations Kick Off!

T 8.30, 12pm-1pm

Stop by the student clubs tables during a break from class to see what is in store for their Fall 2011 programs. Get news about upcoming events, sign up to be on the email chain, pick up an application to be a member, and more!  Express your opinion on what events you want to see in the future by filling out the SEB survey. All who drop by will get a free bag of treats. 

USG Student Council Forum       

W 8.31, 12pm-1pm

Come out and meet the executive board members of the USG Student Council.  They will be taking comments and feedback from students as well as giving out information about upcoming General Assembly Meetings for the fall semester.  Looking to become a member?  Stop by the table to pick up an application.    

Meet a Student Ambassador!   

Th 9.01,  12pm-1pm

Are you comfortable speaking to just about anyone: fellow and prospective students, parents, faculty, and local leaders? Do you have positive USG experiences you would like to share while getting involved in a wide variety of on- and off-campus activities? An Ambassador is a positive representative of USG though a program which is a fantastic resume builder and a way to get connected to USG. Meet a current ambassador to get more information and answer questions about the program.
