USG BOA Member Ellen Quinn receives Maryland Women in Technology 2008 Korenman Award
Congratulations to USG Board of Advisor member, Ellen Quinn, Northrop Grumman, recipient of the Maryland Women in Technology 2008 Korenman Award, sponsored by T. Rowe Price. This award recognizes an individual who has dedicated time and resources to support girls' and women's advancement in technology.
Ellen was selected from a wide range of candidates that were nominate by businesses, educational organizations,community organizations, government agendas and non-profit organizations based on the following:
- Dedicated time and/or resources to support girls' and women's participation and advancement in information technology or related field.
- Demonstrated leadership in increasing diversity in information technology or related field
- Served as a role model, supporter, and/or mentor to help others achieve their objectives in information technology or related field.
Ellen deserves not only our congratulations but a heartfelt thank you as she is contributing the proceeds from this award to the USG BOA General Scholarship Award.
