Prospective Students Can Learn More about UB Master of Science Program at USG Open House on Sat., July 14

The University of Baltimore will bring its popular Master of Science in Health Systems Management program to students at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, Md., this fall. Two core courses in the program—Epidemiology (HSMG 640) and Health-Care Systems, Organization and Management (PUAD 750)—will be available when the program launches at the USG campus. Other courses will follow as the program expands.

Students who are in the first year of the companion B.S. in Health Systems Management program at USG may participate in UB’s accelerated option for the program, applying as many as nine credits of coursework to both their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Located along Montgomery County's expanding I-270 High Technology Corridor, the Universities at Shady Grove is situated in the heart of the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center and is adjacent to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, and other major medical facilities. An internationally recognized center for the biotechnology and biosciences industries, the corridor is also home to the world headquarters for leading-edge companies such as Human Genome Sciences and MedImmune.

“UB is extremely pleased to add the M.S. in Health Systems Management program to its offerings at USG, and we hope to bring more exceptional programs to the Shady Grove campus over the next few years,” said Stephen Percy, dean of the College of Public Affairs, which offers the graduate program.

“The University of Baltimore’s M.S. Health Systems Management program is a valuable addition to USG’s growing complement of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in high-demand fields,” said Stewart Edelstein, Associate Vice Chancellor of the University System of Maryland and the Executive Director at USG. “USG is committed to supporting healthcare careers in our region with well-trained, highly skilled graduates in healthcare, biological sciences, and related fields.”
