Undergraduate students at USG have the unique opportunity to enhance their experience and education this Spring by enrolling in one of 43 shared courses offered in collaboration with five universities at USG. Students may earn elective credit toward their degree in subjects ranging from business to communication, history, exercise science, and more.

Examination of the structure and function of the human body and the mechanical principles affecting its movement. Review of the musculoskeletal system followed by in-depth study of how human movement occurs. Presentation of nomenclature of body planes, axes, and movement.

Honors Seminar: The Civil Rights Era- HIST 493, Section SG1

An advanced interdisciplinary seminar that focuses on important books and issues and encourages independent thinking, clear presentation and an understanding of the concerns and methods of various disciplines. The Rise of Islam- HIST 364, Section 1

Prerequisites: Any 100- or 200- level Social Science Course

This course explores the origins and development of the culture and society of Islam, a community that today represents over 1.2 billion people. We will examine Islam¿s genesis in central Arabia in the sixth century, its expansion into the Mediterranean basin and east to India, and its main intellectual and philosophical currents. The course ends with the rise of the Ottoman Empire, the Islamic superpower that lasted until the 20th century.
