Dear USG Community,
USG is saddened by the tragic and senseless loss of Bowie State University student, Lt. Richard W. Collins III. As a campus with nine university partners, including Bowie State University (BSU) and the University of Maryland, College Park, we grieve together as a community, and stand united in support during this difficult time. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Lt. Collins and everyone affected by this horrific crime.
Anyone who would like to reach the USG Counseling Center can stop by from 10:00am-7:00pm Monday-Thursday and 10:00am-2:00pm Friday. If you would like to join the Bowie State Community honoring Lt. Collins a candlelight vigil will be held tonight at 7:00pm at the BSU MLK patio.
We stand united and reaffirm our values as a campus that embraces diversity and rejects senseless acts of hate and violence.
