The University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) College of Behavioral and Social Sciences and the Honors College, are proud to announce the Spring 2011 Stock Market Challenge. Designed for all skill levels, this exciting new learning opportunity is modeled after a successful stock market trading simulation currently used in Dr. Eric Wish’s stock market courses at UMCP. Participants will learn about the stock market and expand their financial literacy by participating in the Challenge Forum and accessing the many educational resources.

Registration is FREE and open to all USG students, faculty, staff. Registration begins on February 20 and trading begins on February 28. Space is limited, so be sure to register early.

With the generous support from the Davis Foundation, prizes of $400, $250, $100, $50 and $50 will be awarded during a special ceremony in May to the five participants whose portfolios have increased the most during the Spring 2011 contest.  Get prepared and sharpen your skills by attending Dr. Eric Wish’s Orientation Webinar on February 23 at 7:00 p.m.
