On October 25, 2016, the inaugural So You Think You Can Cook (Healthy!) contest took place. The USG community was invited to sample and score eleven different dishes, cooked by contestants who are also students or staff at USG. Many guests asked for recipes of some of the dishes they sampled, because they were just that good! The committee assured them that a cookbook would be coming out soon enough… and here it is!
Enjoy trying out the healthy recipes included in this cookbook and the committee hopes you will become inspired to make healthier food choices every day. They hope you’ll even consider competing next year for the chance to earn yourself the title of USG’s Favorite Healthy Cook. The Committee would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the contestants who created dishes that are both nutritious and delicious.
The committee would also like to thank the three student organizations that made the So You Think You Can Cook (Healthy!) event possible:
- Students Engaged in Public Health (SEIPH)
- Student Section of the Maryland Public Health Association (SMdPHA)
- American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) Operation Diabetes
