The CEOs of USG Honored by the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business

Rockville, MD -- USG students dominated the Dean's Undergraduate Awards from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business this year by earning six of the 14 awards while the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO) was named Organization of the Year.

The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization formed in fall 2006 when the charter group of students started the Entrepreneurship Fellows Program at the USG campus in Rockville. The students organized conferences in spring 2007 and 2008 that attracted hundreds of entrepreneurs, executives and students.

"I'm pleased to see such a deserving organization and students from Shady Grove singled out for recognition," said Howard Frank, dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business. "Shady Grove's Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization has been a vibrant and welcome contributor to Smith School efforts to support student and regional entrepreneurship."

The Dean's Awards were created to recognize the remarkable achievements of Smith School undergraduates. This year five USG students were among the 14 students recognized at the ceremony on May 8. Four of the five USG students participated in Smith's Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Fellows Program. The five honored students were:
