The USG STEM Symposium is a dynamic monthly event series aimed at showcasing the innovative academic programs within the Universities at Shady Grove’s Engineering & Technology Hub and Health & Life Sciences Hub. Each month, a different program will host a virtual workshop, highlighting critical, industry-relevant topics and emerging challenges that their curriculum is designed to address. Students and community members can expect:
- Exposure to Cutting-Edge Topics: Gain access to the latest developments and “hot” topics in STEM fields, giving you a competitive edge in your studies and careers.
- Interdisciplinary Learning: The symposium encourages collaboration between different academic programs, providing you with a well-rounded perspective that integrates multiple disciplines and approaches.
- Networking Opportunities: You can connect with peers, faculty, and industry professionals, fostering relationships that could lead to internships, research opportunities, and job placements or advancements.
- Program Exploration: Prospective students can explore programs at USG, potentially guiding their academic and career paths.
- Interactive Engagement: The inclusion of engaging, interactive elements in the workshops ensures that you are not just a passive listener but an active participant in the conversation, enhancing your experience.
