This position is located in Rockville, MD at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG).


The Coordinator, Strategic Plan Projects, will focus on projects involving USG’s academic institutions, programming and planning to create opportunities for collaboration and innovation that enhance academic partners’ outcomes as including the delivery of academic content to community partners. Working as part of the Chief Strategy Office’s team, this position will coordinate projects involving academic programs and planning, data management and organization, and program implementation for strategic initiatives.

SALARY RANGE:  $64,000-$80,000.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
 
Experience:
A minimum of 4-5 years related experience, including experience in project management. Proficient in use of office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Google Docs, Sheets, Slides.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to execute projects, meet scheduled milestones, and meet deliverables on time with quality outputs.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team.
  • Ability to multitask, project management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Skilled in compiling data from a variety of internal and external sources and analyzing data and systems.
  • Ability to consistently provide accurate data and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

PREFERENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area, such as social sciences, education, or public policy or similar.
  • Preferred experience in the education field (K-12 or higher education).
  • Proficiency in tools relevant to data analytics presentation and creation of reports and surveys (such as Databox, Tableau, Google Analytics, and Qualtrics).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Standard office environment; sedentary work; ability to attend meetings both on and off campus. May spend long hours in front of a computer screen.
