What is the Spring 2024 Equity Incubator?

The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) Equity Incubator is an 8-week accelerator boot camp program designed to help local entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground, scale, and solidify their brand in their industry. 

Who is eligible to apply? 

USG students, alumni, and community members in the DMV area. 

What are the program tracks? 

• Concept Track: How to take an idea and turn it into a business. Learn the fundamentals of business modeling, building a brand identity, revenue generation, cost structures, and more! 
• Product to Market Track: How to take an early-stage business and create a stronger brand identity, understand your distribution channel, and identify your ideal customer. 
• Scale Track: How to take your growing business to the next level and understand how to increase revenue, build barriers to entry, and build the organizational infrastructure to grow all facets of your business. 

What is the program duration? 

The program orientation is on February 20th. Classes begin on February 28th and conclude in May. Participants will meet in person once per week on Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the USG campus in Rockville, Maryland.

How many businesses will be accepted for the Spring 2024 cohort?

100 businesses will be accepted for the Spring 2024 cohort. 

When is the application deadline?

The application deadline for the Spring 2024 Equity Incubator Program is December 23, 2023.
