Dr. Arnaldez is a US Board Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant physician- scientist. Her career spans over twenty years of experience in the Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology Industries, Government and Academia. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she moved to the US where she completed residency training at University of Pittsburgh, PA, fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD where she served as Chief Fellow. She pursued further specialty training leading to a faculty position at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. During her tenure at NCI, Dr. Arnaldez trained fellows and medical students, led her laboratory as a Principal Investigator and was the director of the NIH Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors clinic, in addition to serving as a attending physician at the Pediatric Oncology Branch.

Striving to achieve a deeper and durable impact in patients lives, she has dedicated her career to oncology drug development at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program at the National Cancer Institute, MacroGenics, Inc. and currently at AstraZeneca, PLC. In her current position, she leads teams responsible for the development of Immunotherapy, Cell Therapy and ADC assets within the Early Oncology Research and Development Organization, from candidate lead selection to phase III-enabling clinical trials. Dr. Arnaldez is responsible and accountable for strategy, development and execution of the portfolio across multiple line functions.

Additionally, she holds a mini-MBA in biopharma development from Rutgers University and an executive certificate in Management and Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a strong advocate for equitable access to healthcare and higher education, and also serves as a board member at the Osteosarcoma Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for this deadly disease. 

Dr. Arnaldez lives in Bethesda, MD with her husband and her two daughters.
