Erika Black received her Bachelor of Art, Criminology, and Criminal Justice program from the University of Maryland. While pursuing her Master of Science in Cyber Forensic Investigation program at the University of Baltimore, she is a Graduate Student Council Treasurer at the Universities at Shady Grove Campus Student Organization. In addition, she is a member of the University System of Maryland's Board of Advisors and a representative of the Technology & Engineer HUB Sector. She was elevated to President of The University of Baltimore Criminal Justice and Forensic Science Student Organization because of her leadership skills.

As a participant in different training programs, Erika, a National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) member, receives expert guidance to thrive in victim advocacy for victims and survivors. These initiatives enhanced her success as a teaching assistant in her domestic violence course.

Erika enjoys being an active volunteer on her college campus and offering a helping hand to the community. Her mission is to dedicate all her energy to building the fundamental managerial skills she will need to become an effective leader. She advocates for ensuring students access to all the resources they need for educational achievement by supporting the USG 2.0 Strategic Plan.
