The Industry Sector Model at USG

USG will support four Industry Sectors that will each design and support pathways including Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences and Health, Business Enterprise, and Public Service. An industry sector pathway will bridge the gaps and provide more seamless experiences through coaching, mentoring, career readiness, and a range of programs and partnerships to support a successful learner-journey that begins in middle school, continues through high school, community college, undergrad and graduate degrees, with meaningful employment along the way toward long-term sustainable wage careers or successful businesses.

The Industry Sector Hubs at USG provide the means for advancing the employer/academic partnership, the integration of career readiness with academic planning, fostering data informed innovation and collaboration, and ensuring the work is done through a foundation in diversity, equity and inclusion. The methodology, components, and operations of the Industry Sector Model are found in the charter document.
