Our annual priorities move the USG community forward by strengthening pathways for students to attain an affordable education, achieve academic success, and prepare for meaningful careers. As the largest regional higher education center in the state of Maryland, we play a vital role in driving workforce and economic growth across the region and state. Together, we make it happen.
FY2026 Strategic Priorities
FY25 strategic priorities focused on building capacity, strengthening partnerships, and improving operations. The FY2026 priorities expand on last year's work as our community refines educational pathways for all learners across each industry sector.
Together we will:
- Implement recruitment and marketing strategies that drive increases in engagement and impact.
- Strengthen and expand curriculum-based and co-curricular career readiness programs and student success support through intentional collaboration with academic partners.
- Strengthen and evolve employer relationships from engagement to partnership that advances opportunities for all learners.
- Develop and track internal activity measures that clearly demonstrate progress toward strategic plan goals.
- Build on refined financial and organizational processes through collaborative practices that enable innovative partnerships and advance student success.
- Foster a collaborative workplace culture grounded in equity, belonging, and respect where our teamwork and decisions are data driven and student-centered.
