The B.S. in Accounting offers a curriculum that includes financial planning, budgeting, accounting systems, financial management controls, financial analysis of performance, financial reporting, internal and external auditing, and taxation. In addition to earning the B.S. from the University of Maryland, graduates acquire an excellent foundation for careers like public accounting, management, forensic accounting, and consulting. Admission is for the fall semester only. Successful applicants will have completed a two-year degree in business or related area, and/or have completed 60 college credits including several required gateway courses. Fulltime students follow a cohort format with a pre-set class schedule to ensure degree completion in four consecutive semesters.
