NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION FOR UnderGRADUATE STUDENTS
Please note: the orientation dates are program-specific. There is limited space for each session and an RSVP is required. If you are unsure as to which orientation you should attend, please contact your program director for more information. Approximately one week before your orientation date, you will receive an email confirmation with more information about the day's events including directions to the Shady Grove Garage where you will be directed to park. If there are any weather concerns on orientation days, USG campus delays or closures will be announced on local news stations and will also be announced on our website.
New Student Orientation is a one-day event that all new students taking undergraduate daytime programs at USG are required to attend. At orientation, you will attend various workshops and breakout sessions related specifically to USG and to your program. Information provided at orientation includes:
- Program Academic Advising
- Course Registration
- IT Logins & Resources
- Safety and Security Information
- USG ID Cards
- Campus Resource Overview
In addition to the day's events, you will have the chance to meet current students, your respective program staff, and USG staff. We hope that the day helps you become better acquainted with the center, community, and services found here at USG.

Interested in Becoming an Orientation Leader?
Orientation Leaders are instrumental in introducing incoming students to the USG community. They facilitate the orientation process and help students navigate the USG campus. Orientation Leader applications are open April 1-June 1 with training typically occurring on the first Friday of June.
