Andrea Milo

Andrea Milo serves as Director of CSEF. Her 14 years of professional experience in higher education have made her well versed in both student and academic affairs. Andrea earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from James Madison University and went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Wake Forest University. As Director of CSEF, Andrea is responsible for the array of services offered by CSEF and strives to identify new ways to engage and enhance the experience of the USG student body. Andrea loves interacting with students from the nine partner institutions and stays abreast of student issues and feedback through her role as Student Council Advisor. Outside of USG, Andrea devotes every possible moment to her family.

Gloria Kalotra

Gloria Kalotra serves as the Assistant Director of the CSEF.  Gloria earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Asian Students from Mary Baldwin College and Master’s degree in Human Resources with the University of Maryland University College.  She has over 13 years of professional experience in higher education.  When she’s not serving students with her dedication and determination, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends.

Rachel Wolohan serves as a Senior Coordinator in CSEF. An Eastern Shore native, Rachel earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Longwood University and Master's degree in Management with a specialization in Marketing from the University of Maryland University College. She also recently earned her MBA with University of Maryland University College. When Rachel's not running 10ks, she's running logistics for events, assisting student veterans, or planning civic engagement activities on campus.

Shelby Speer serves as CSEF's Graduate Student Services Coordinator. Shelby brings over 12 years of education administration experience to USG, having previously worked at Stanford University, Brandeis University, Boston College, and Tufts University. She completed her M.A. in Higher Education Administration (with a focus on student affairs) from Boston College, and her B.A. in Sociology and History from Brandeis University. In her spare time, Shelby enjoys playing board games, participating in community theater, and playing with her pet rabbit.

Taz Thomas serves as a Financial Aid & Scholarship Coordinator in CSEF. Originally from New York, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of New York at Old Westbury and Master's degree in Management from Western University International. Taz has a strong passion for education and enjoys helping students achieve their academic goals. When Taz is not assisting students, she enjoys spending time with her family, trying new recipes, and attempting new cool yoga poses.

Iris

Iris Schauerman serves as a Coordinator CSEF. Iris earned an A.A.S degree in Mental Health from Montgomery College before transferring to the University of Maryland, College Park to obtain a B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience as well as a B.A. in Anthropology. Knowing that her passion laid in education and helping underrepresented students, Iris obtained her Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Iris enjoys learning new cultures and languages. She speaks English, Spanish, and some Portuguese and French. In her free time, Iris enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends and taking spontaneous trips to anywhere that has a beach.

Ilona Faulks has served as a Program Administrative Specialist since 2007. In addition to her service to CSEF Ilona also supports the overarching Student and Academic Services (SAS) Department. Ilona oversees the SAS budget, welcome desk, and overall office management. While earning her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Maryland University College, Ilona keeps SAS running through her support of the Chief Student Affairs Officer, Robyn Dinicola-Wagle. When she’s not multitasking in the office, Ilona enjoys ballroom dancing and traveling the world.

Katie Nguyen serves as the CSEF Office Supervisor.  Katie graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She is pursuing her Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Human Resource Management with University of Maryland University College. She joined CSEF as the Office Supervisor in June 2015 but had previously worked in the office during her 2 years as a student at USG.  Katie coordinates the UMES application process, course sharing, budget and USG ID production. In addition, she supervises the CSEF student staff and assists with USG scholarship processing.  Katie loves photography and spending time with her family and friends. She also serves as a youth leader and very involved in her church’s Eucharistic Youth Movement.
