The 2022 reachHIRE Summer Bridge will be a hybrid program. Complete the workshop at your own pace! Then log on at 2 pm each day for an interactive live session with your ACES family. On June 24, you'll take a bus from your high school to the USG campus where you'll spend the day building teamwork through interactive games with your ACES coach and peers, exploring the USG campus, winning prizes, and celebrating your completion of reachHIRE!

What is reachHIRE?

Every summer, the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) hosts the Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) Summer Bridge Program called reachHIRE, a coordinated summer series offered in conjunction with Montgomery College and Montgomery County Public Schools for ACES students.

The theme, reachHIRE, focuses on "leveling up" in your academic preparation and career exploration. Throughout the week, students participate in activities and workshops that develop skills such as communication, professionalism, and critical thinking. These skills, known as NACE Competencies, have been identified as essential for success in today’s workforce. Students engage in interactive skill-based workshops and activities to strengthen these skills throughout the week. Students also have the opportunity to network with professionals to learn about various career options from local businesses and organizations in Montgomery County. By participating in reachHIRE throughout the week, ACES scholars are one step closer to achieving their academic and career goals!
