What is a team-based internship?

A team-based project internship experience focuses upon solving a real challenge or maximizing an opportunity for an organization to foster authentic and deeper learning; frequently incorporating elements of multiple academic subjects.  Students will be required to be think critically across disciplines, work collaboratively with peers, and deliver real world solutions.

 CREATE A TEAM-BASED INTERNSHIP

What are some project examples?

  • Develop a business plan for a local hospital to gain a better understanding of the international market, who the competition is and what services to offer to target those international customers.
  • Create a team of students in marketing, graphic design, and music production to determine new avenues for a recording business to expand its reach.
  • Get creative with a group of students in history, marketing, and business and let them pitch some new and exciting ways to create an engaging local history gallery for the public.
