For #1 -  A review of strategies used by local governments to engage with BIPOC and low-income communities
Research and provide suggestions regarding how to enhance engagement between the Montgomery County Council and BIPOC/low income communities. Projects could include how to encourage great participation in governance (such as running for office or serving on a community board) or more on finding ways to make access to services more attainable. Possibility to target by city to make scope more manageable.
 
For #2 -  Analyze traffic/pedestrian deaths since the County went to a centralized traffic enforcement model 
Using data beginning July 1, 2021 to July 1, 2022,  determine whether deaths decreased and what, if any, additional benefits may have come from the program.
 
For #3 -  Examine what is being done in the County to attract a diverse workforce including a review of what data is available on workforce diversity and whether the County has tracked trend changes in workforce diversity
Research workforce diversity in Montgomery County, compare it with other regions of similar size/demographics, and research how greater workforce diversity is being approached nation-wide.
 
For #4 -  A project related to food insecurity and increased reliance on food banks since the start of the pandemic
Review and analyze data regarding usage at area food banks as compared to prior years. Potential to look at specific demographics or cities/areas of interest (based on districts) and measurements of success in meeting the stated need. 
 
For #5 -   Analyze different rate structures for healthcare programs for the uninsured in specified local and state governments to determine what elements of the rate structure could be applicable and replicated in Montgomery County
Possibilities include data collection and analysis of rates charged by hospitals, federal government reimbursement rates to states, rates charged to individuals to participate, or rates paid by the government to non-profits providing care.
