Cloud storage services provide an alternative location to where your data can be stored and accessed. USG's and UMD's Data Classification Standards should be reviewed regarding what type of data should be stored on each type of service. Box is a cloud-based storage and collaboration system that provides a Web interface for uploading, downloading, sharing, and discussing files. It is designed to work on Macs, PCs, smartphones, and tablets.
To access your files directly from your computer, you may consider installing Box Drive.
Google Drive
Data Classification Level: Red | Level 3
G Suite Drive is online storage integrated with your university G Suite account. Save your work files to Drive and use Docs, Sheets, and Slides to edit them. You can share with co-workers and edit the same file at the same time, showing revisions and comments.
Google Drive is an application that can be installed on your computer allowing access directly from your computer instead of a web browser.
