COVID-19 Cyber Scams

  • Do not reveal personal or financial information in an email, and do not respond to email solicitations for this information.

Cloud Storage

Cloud storage services provide an alternative location to where your data can be stored and accessed. USG's and UMD's Data Classification Standards should be reviewed regarding what type of data should be stored on each type of service. You can find a list of prohibited data types that you should upload here.

Box is a cloud-based storage and collaboration system that provides a Web interface for uploading, downloading, sharing, and discussing files. It is designed to work on Macs, PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

G Suite Drive is online storage integrated with your university G Suite account. Save your work files to Drive and use Docs, Sheets, and Slides to edit them. You can share with co-workers and edit the same file at the same time, showing revisions and comments.
