Health Systems Management Applications Requirements: Attending MC next fall or spring, completed (with a "C" or higher) or registered for ENGL 102 or 103.

The University of Baltimore (UB) B.S. in Health Systems Management program is offered at The Universities at Shady Grove (USG).  This program, which is certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration, is designed to prepare you for a professional career in health systems management. If you have a degree in an allied health field—nursing, radiology, physical therapy assisting and others, this program is designed to assist you in transitioning into a management position.

The Bee Line program is a Transfer Access Program (TAP) designed to benefit Montgomery College students who plan to transfer to the UB Health Systems Management program offered at USG.

The Bee Line program for Health Systems Management will help you prepare for all aspects of the transfer process including:

  • Academic Advising
  • Academic Preparation
  • Career Readiness
  • Campus Connections

What are the requirements to be considered for Bee Line?

Students wishing to be considered for the Bee Line program for Health Systems Mangement should be able to answer yes to the following questions:

  • Will I still be attending MC next semester (fall or spring)? 
  • Have I completed (with a "C" or better) or registered for one of the following classes?
    • ENGL 102: Techniques of Reading, Writing, and Research
    • ENGL 103: Techniques of Reading, Writing, and Research in the Work Place

If you answered yes to both questions above, complete the Bee Line application today!

Apply by June 15 to start Bee Line in the fall  ||  Apply by November 15 to start Bee Line in the spring

What are the requirements to successfully complete Bee Line?

In order to successfully complete the Bee Line program for Health Systems Management, participants must meet the following requirements.   All requirements must be fulfilled while attending Montgomery College.

  • Academic Requirements
    • Earn an Associate’s Degree from MC (A.A. in General Studies recommended)
    • Graduate from MC with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA from all previous institutions
    • Earn a C or better in 
      • ENGL102: Techniques of Reading, Writing, and Research OR
        ENGL 103: Techniques of Reading, Writing, and Research in the Work Place
      • COMM 108: Foundations of Human Communication
      • CMAP 120: Introduction to Computer Applications
  • Additional Requirements
    • Attend the Bee Line Welcome Celebration at USG
    • Meet with the UB Program Director at least once per semester 
    • Meet with the USG Transfer Access Program Coordinator at least once per semester 
    • Attend a USG Center for Academic Success (CAS) Workshop at least once per semester
    • Meet with a USG Career Coach, Peer Mentor, or attend a Career and Internship Services Center (CISC) workshop/event at least once prior to completion of Associate’s Degree
    • Attend a USG student life activity at least once prior to completion of Associate’s Degree
    • Submit UB Admissions Application for the Health Systems Management program at USG
