Towson University
Towson University awards a limited number of academic scholarships each year to transfer students. Students who wish to be considered for these scholarship opportunities are encouraged to submit required forms no later than December 1.

Molly Caitlin Counihan Endowed Scholarship
This endowed scholarship is awarded to a student entering the Towson University dual certification program in Elementary and Special Education at the Universities at Shady Grove. The minimum award is $800 annually.
To qualify, student candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be transferring from Montgomery College to the USG/Towson Education program
- Hold a 2.75 GPA or higher
- Incoming Junior or Senior
University of Baltimore
Undergraduate Scholarships for Full-Time Students
All new incoming undergraduates will be automatically considered for merit- and need-based awards. A separate application is not required. Scholarship information can be found here.
Bob Parsons Scholarship Fund
The Bob Parsons Scholarship Fund is available for undergraduate students who are Pell Grant eligible, completing an associates degree (AA,AS or AAS) or who qualify for our military/veteran student waiver, and enrolling full time with UB. Financial Assistance is offered by the School of Nursing, the University of Maryland, Baltimore and external agencies. There are a wide variety of financial resources to assist you in meeting your educational goals and expenses. You may be eligible for both merit and need-based financial aid.
University of Maryland, Baltimore County
Academic Achievement Award for Transfers (AAAT)
This scholarship is awarded to transfer students on the basis of academic accomplishment. Students may receive up to $2500 for each of two academic years.
To qualify, student candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Completed 35 or more credits at the time of application
- Submit an essay with their application for admission
- Be either a full-time or part-time student
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to transfer students on the basis of academic accomplishment and membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Students receive awards from $2000 to $2500 per year for 2 academic years.
To qualify, student candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Submit proof of PTK membership
- Submit an essay with their application for admission
- Be either a full-time or part-time student
Transfer Student Alliance (TSA) Award
- A member of the TSA Program with UMBC
- Completion of an earned associate's degree at a Maryland community college within four years of initial pre-TSA Program acceptance (Official transcript must be submitted to UMBC Admissions showing an earned associate degree prior to first semester at UMBC)
- Consideration begins at minimum cumulative 3.5 composite (calculated from all colleges/universities) GPA at the time of Transfer Admission application
- Enrollment at UMBC within one year of completion of the associate degree
- Not matriculated at any other institution of higher education after pre-TSA Program acceptance
- Submit the Common Application to UMBC with an indicated interest in TLST

Frederick Douglass Scholarship (formerly Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship)
This scholarship fund offers full tuition for four consecutive semesters to four outstanding transfer students. The scholarship committee will review all applications and select ten finalists for interviews.
To qualify, student candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a new applicant for Fall semester or currently enrolled in Spring semester in any of the University of Maryland, College Park programs at Shady Grove
- Be a resident of Maryland for tuition purposes (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
- Overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 for all college work attempted
- Be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credits per semester)
- Completion for 56 credits or an Associates degree from a Maryland community college

Clark School Scholarships Application (Engineering Students)
The online scholarships application is for current and prospective Clark School engineering students to the Clark School. Scholarships for engineering students are awarded annually by the Clark School and the academic units. Students must complete the online application each year to be considered for Clark School scholarships. The priority deadline is on May 31st which means that students who submit the application by that date are considered first for the Clark School scholarships.

University of Maryland Eastern Shore
Marriott Scholarship (Hotel and Restaurant Management Students Only)
Due to generous funding from the Marriott Foundation, UMES is able to offer scholarships to students who are Hospitality and Restaurant Management majors. Students may be awarded up to $1500 annually; as long as they maintain a 2.5 or above GPA.
To qualify, student candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a US citizen or Permanent Resident of the US
- Show Financial Need
- A transfer GPA of 2.5 and
- Complete the Application Form and Personal Statement. (Available from the UMES HRM Program Director)
NOVA Transfer Student's Tuition Assistance/Scholarship
Effective Fall 09: All qualified Hotel and Restaurant Management or Construction Management Technology students transferring from NOVA to UMES and attending the program at The Universities at Shady Grove. The objective is to provide tuition assistance, by way of a scholarship, to transfer students from NOVA in an amount to nearly equalize tuition dollars to those paid by Maryland State residents.
Scholarship Requirements:
- The NOVA student must have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or above;
- Be a US citizen or legal resident;
- Meet all other transfer student requirements;
- Be a full-time student earning a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester during Fall and Spring semesters (NOTE: a student taking credits during a summer session will not receive scholarship assistance);
- Enrollment must be continuous, and
- Each semester, the HRM, or CMT department will determine if assistance will continue to be provided after a review to ensure the student is maintaining the requirements as established.

University of Maryland Global Campus
Completion Scholarship Program
UMGC offers Maryland community college graduates the opportunity to earn a bachelor's degree at a significantly reduced cost with the UMGC Completion Scholarship. Award recipients can complete a bachelor's degree program for well below the typical tuition cost for in-state students.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Have completed an associate's degree from one of Maryland's 16 community colleges
- Is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident non-citizen
- Is a Maryland resident or active duty military
- Must be a degree seeking student pursuing a first bachelor's degree
- Is not receiving 100% tuition assistance or reimbursement
