University of Maryland, College Park

The University of Maryland, College Park, is a public research university, the flagship institution of the University System of Maryland and one of only 61 members of the Association of American Universities (AAU). The University advances knowledge, provides outstanding and innovative instruction, and nourishes a climate of intellectual growth in a broad range of academic disciplines and interdisciplinary fields.

Only individuals possessing the highest qualifications in their fields can be appointed to the faculty at the University. Instruction at USG is by regular University of Maryland, College Park faculty and by adjunct faculty selected according to the same standards in effect at the main campus. The university also provides administrative leadership for USG.
