Students enrolled in academic courses at the Universities at Shady Grove may request study space for two to eight people, located in one of the eight study rooms located on the second, third, and fourth floors of Building III, Camille Kendall Academic Center.

Study Room Reservation Policy

• All requests are processed Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Request forms received outside of these times will be processed on the following business day.
• Study Room requests must be made at least two working days before the date of your reservation to allow for your request to be processed.
• Requests may be scheduled up to thirty days in advance. Any requests submitted prior to this period will not be processed.
• Rooms may be reserved for a maximum of three hours. Extensions are based on availability.

Study Room Use Policy

• No food or drink is allowed in the space at any time (except water in closed containers).
• At least two persons are required to reserve a group breakout room. Larger rooms will be assigned to groups with at least five persons.
• Rooms can be reserved for discussions or meetings related to classes, activities and programs affiliated with USG ONLY. (No for-profit usage of any space at USG— including tutoring—is permitted.)
• White boards should ONLY be used with appropriate dry markers provided in each room.
• If you require the use of the flat-screen monitor in the study room, VGA cables can be checked out of the OIT helpdesk on the second floor of Building III. For an up-to-date listing of the OIT Helpdesk hours, please visit the USG Hours of Operation webpage.
• Personal items left unattended will be removed and taken to the security desk in the lobby of Building III.
• If there is a person or a group using the room at the time of your reservation, remind them of your reservation and ask them to leave. If the group refuses to leave, call Security at x6065 (301-738-6065) or ask the guard on the first floor of the building to help.
• If a group fails to appear after fifteen minutes, the reservation becomes void and the room is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
