Shady grove misconceptions
Please refer to the below chart to clear some common misconceptions about the transferring to USG and our program offerings:

| Students can transfer all of their community college coursework to UMCP | UMCP will accept up to 65 applicable transfer credits from a 2-year institution towards this degree program at USG |
| USG is not a full service campus | USG offers academic and financial aid counselors, academic support and career centers, a full service library, cafe, fitness facilities, student clubs, social activities, and more |
| There are no internship opportunities at USG | USG and the Biological Sciences Department have partnered with several local businesses and research organizations such as IBBR to offer internships for upper level college credit |

JOin us for an open house
USG Open Houses are a great way to have all of your transfer questions addressed. Prospective students have the opportunity to meet with our Program Director, advisor, current students, take a tour of campus, obtain finanacial aid information, and even have transcripts evaluated.
Open Houses are generally held once every semester and are a great way to prepare for admissions in the following months. The next Open House will be held in the middle of the Spring 2011 semester for students seeking admission in Fall 2011 or a later timeframe.
