Position Title: IT Support Assistant

Number of Available Openings: 0 (Still accepting applications for Spring 2010 semester)
Hourly Wage: $10.00/hour
Approximate Number of Hours Required to Work Per Week: Determined by the needs of the helpdesk
Days and Hours Student Needed to Work: Determined by the needs of the helpdesk.
Job Description:
  • Monitor computer lab environment
  • Assist students with lab software & infrastructure
  • Add paper & toner to lab printers as needed
  • Troubleshoot loaner laptop & projector problems
  • Troubleshoot technology classroom problems
  • Distribute student loaner laptops
  • Assist students with wireless registration
  • Perform closing checks on computer/technology classrooms
  • Troubleshoot AV problems for weekend conferences
  • Escalate problems to full-time staff when needed
  • Monitor/troubleshoot Distance Education rooms
Qualifications:

The ideal applicant should have good communication skills, software and web development knowledge, and some troubleshooting skills. Customer service experience is a plus.
