Position Information

Position Title:	Guided Study Sessions (GSS) Leaders for BMGT 310 and 340, Fall 2009
Student's Supervisor:	Dr. Isabell Cserno
Number of Available Openings:	4
Hourly Wage:	$8.50-$10 based on education and experience
Approximate Number of Hours Required to Work Per Week:	3-5
Days and Hours Student Needed to Work:	Flexible Days/ 9-5:30 pm; time subject to GSS leader
Job Description:	Lead weekly review sessions for juniors in BMGT 340 (Finance) or BMGT 310 (Intermediate Accounting I) Focus on different approaches on how to learn the class content Review major concepts and ideas Design and submit a weekly lesson plan of what to cover in the review session Go over difficult concepts Identify important points from textbooks Communicate with course instructor
Qualifications:	Minimum GPA of 3.0 Grade of at least a B in either BMGT 340 or 310
Learning Opportunities/Opportunities for Professional Development:	Gain invaluable leadership experience to enhance your resume Gain experience in being a peer instructor and mentor Gain a deeper understanding of course contents because of teaching them (especially useful for CPA preparation)
Additional Comments:	GSS leaders are required to participate in a paid training session on August 21 Pay includes 1 hour of preparation each week.
